Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network Series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook will show you how to master easy techniques and her trademark spikey blonde locks. Chef Burrell has also worked at various top eateries located in New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step to take after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing adventure for me. I was never able to learn and do enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy made her more aware and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impression on her eating habits. Burrell is a famous ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children who are struggling. In her role as an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for cooking and food, as well as to talk about her profession in culinary. Anne has stated throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to be able communicate with people what is essential for her.
